About + Contact

I take pride in the products I sell, using only the highest quality luxurious ingredients and choosing organic and fair trade ingredients whenever possible. All products are natural and handcrafted in small batches so there may be slight variations in each batch.

I offer a carefully selected range of products that will change with the seasons so check back often. Supporting sustainable, ethical values is the core of my business model.

No Fragrance Oils/Perfume Oils – Fragrance oils or perfume oils are synthetically produced oils that you will find in most air fresheners, perfumes, cosmetics, lotions, candles and baby products. Even products that are “unscented” often have fragrance included to cover the natural smell of the ingredients. The issue with fragrance is that the blends are proprietary and can contain potential allergens and toxic substances. I am committed to only using high-grade pure essential oils as fragrance and enhancement in my products. Essential oils are naturally extracted from the leaves, bark, flowers, stems or roots of plants. Just because they are from plants doesn’t mean they can’t activate allergies or cause sensitivities, but I list each and every essential oil used so if there are any allergies you can avoid those items.

No Phthalates (Hormone disrupters found in many beauty products. These can also be included under the term “fragrance” on a label.)

No Parabens (Estrogen-mimicking preservatives)

No Toxic Chemicals (Such as DBT and other toxic substances)

No Petroleum By-Products/No Mineral Oil – These are produced in oil refineries at the same time as automobile fuel, heating oil and chemical feedstocks. Their usefulness in skincare is debatable, but I choose to not support the petroleum industry in any of my products.

No Artificial Dyes/Colors – All color that you may see in my products is from natural substances. For instance, the pink/red tones in the salt scrubs are beet root powder and Himalayan pink sea salt. Soap colors come from the essential oils, natural butters and oils, clays and other botanicals.

No Triclosan & Triclocarban – A common antibacterial product found in toothpaste, deodorant, mouthwash, cleaning supplies, liquid soap and soap bars (triclocarban). Triclosan disrupts thyroid function and reproductive hormones, is extremely toxic to the acquatic environment, and has been found in urine, plasma and breast milk.

Little use of Synthetic Substances - Currently, the only synthetic substance used in any of my products is zinc oxide (non-nanoparticles) in my diaper rash cream. Zinc oxide can occur naturally, but most zinc oxide is produced synthetically.

Eco-friendly Packaging – Glass or tin containers, re-usable baskets, recycled paper filling, material scraps

My first concern for any of my product packaging is the sustainable quality. Nothing preserves freshness or displays the product better than glass which is why I choose to package the majority of my products in glass. Simply sterilize containers when you have emptied the products and re-use them for something else, preferably your own handmade beauty product.

I visited your shop this past weekend for the second time. The first time being a time which I purchased some wonderful soaps and other things, and I was interested in your body scrubs, however, the sweet lady who was there said that there was none available for sale at the moment, but she was kind enough to give me a sample. I fell in love!!!! YOUR body scrubs are SO soothing to the skin, wonderfully fragrant, and they leave you with wonderfully moisturized skin afterwards. When you and I spoke, I wasn’t sure if the scrub you directed me to, the rosemary lavender, was the same one I’d sampled before because of the granule size, even though it smelled just the same, so I went back and forth with you a little bit just because I was unsure. I just want to say, its absolutely the same feeling that I experienced from that sample I’d received months ago. The difference in the granule size meant nothing except for the fact that these granules are uniquely made just for me :). My skin feels WONDERFUL and I’ve used the scrub every night since Saturday because, as you know, its just that gentle. I just want to say thank you for doing what you do, your passion for making these natural, environmentally safe, non toxic products is appreciated by many, including myself. I will see you again soon….I’m in so in love with your products!!!

Awesome, Robyn! Thanks so much for taking the time to send the message. I’m really happy to hear this was a good fit for you. The nice thing about the rosemary/lavender scrub is that it’s also really good for any achy, sore muscles because of the magnesium. It’s great! See you soon!

Yay, glad you came to the Sip & Shop. That was my second time hosting and the turnout was great. I hope you will come to the next one as well – probably late August or early September. I still have to figure out the date. Anyway, send me your email on here or to my email (toni@tonisouth.com) and I’ll send you some wholesale info. I’m so glad you guys are taking over Ecolicious. I love Okra so I think a retail store will do well for you there!
      Talk soon!
